I am instructed by His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell to transmit herewith the Ordinance No. 6 of this year for the Regulation of Chinese Vessels visiting and leaving this harbor. That Ordinance passed by the Legislative Council here on the 14th of August last, and will be proclaimed into Law the moment the Queen's allowance of it has been received.
Enclosure in Governor Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell's Despatch No. 8/47 of 31st October 1866.
